Olive-Tree Warbler (Hippolais olivetorum)


This species is not very well known in terms of warblers. It is around 15 cm long. The birds have a heavy bill, a rather flat crown, long wings, and heavy set legs. The adult has a dusty or brownish-grey back and wings and dusty-white underparts.


Relatively shy and keeps concealed within foliage. It is common in open deciduous woodland, often in oak forests and olive groves.


The diet includes insects and invertebrates.

Protection Status

This species is listed as Least Concern on the IUCN Red List.
